Ningxia Orient Tantalum Industry Co. Ltd (hereinafter called the "Company") establsihed on April 30,1999 is a listed company mainly sponsored by Ningxia non-ferrous smelter, in conjunction with other four corporates. According to the requirements of central government for construction of Three lines, under approval of Metallurgical Ministry, In 1965,the Sponsor--Ningxia non-ferrous smelter was established on the basis of tantalum, niobium, beryllium smelting and processing Research office removed from Beijing, which formerly belonged to Beijing Non-ferrous metals Research Institute. The company gathered the main excellent assets and research achievements of sponsor,which is the national key high-tech enterprise and industrial optimization base of the state hi-tech research and development plan and achievements appointed by the Ministry of Science and Technology. It is a large enterprise of rare metals specializing in technology, development and production. It is the largest production base of tantalum and niobium products in China, and leading Tantalum-Niobium Research Center; it is the first official member of Tantalum-Niobium International Study Centre (TIC) and the only executive member in Asia.
