Ningxia Orient Tantalum Industry Co., Ltd (“OTIC” for short hereafter) was established on April 30, 1999, and has been a public company in Shenzhen Stock Market from January 20, 2000, mainly sponsored by CNMC Ningxia Orient Group Co., Ltd in conjunction with other four corporates. With the best assets and R&D achievements of the main sponsor, the company has grown into the largest tantalum and niobium producer in China and one of the three largest tantalum producers in the world.
The company is a national key high-tech enterprise and tantalum niobium metal engineering research center recognized by the Ministry of science and technology. It is also a member of the Executive Committee of tantalum niobium International Research Center (TIC). The company is mainly engaged in research and development and production of tantalum and niobium rare metal high-tech products. Products are widely used in electronics, metallurgy, chemical industry, medicals, atomic energy, aerospace and other high-tech fields.

Ningxia Special Materials Key Laboratory
Ningxia Special Materials Key Laboratory subordinate to Northwest Rare Metal Materials Research Institute was operated and formally open to customers from home and abroad in December 1999 with approval of Ningxia Science and Technology Commission.
Ningxia Special Materials Key Laboratory is aiming at upgrading the Chinese basic research and application level for rare metals as Ta & Nb and relevant fields through academic exchange among Chinese and foreign scholars, striving for becoming state-grade research base and an academic center where a number of outstanding talents are brought up and academic activities are carried out.
Enterprise Technology Center of CNMC Ningxia Orient Group Co. Ltd
This center was established in 1999, and owns more than 340 researchers. According to the actual situation of the supporting unit, this center mainly conducts scientific research and technological innovation on metal tantalum, niobium, beryllium and alloy metallurgy, processing and relevant electronic material, super-fine powder material, metallic and oxide target material, tantalum, niobium capacitance and related material, etc., and serves the technological innovation and technological progress of enterprise.

On the basis of CNMC Ningxia Orient Group Co. Ltd., the engineering technology research center has passed the on-site acceptance organized by Ministry of Science and Technology in 2008 since the establishment in 2004
Product & Application
Tantalum is a rare metal with high melting point, good cold working performance, high corrosion resistance and chemical stability. Tantalum has moderate hardness, ductility and low coefficient of thermal expansion. It is mainly used in tantalum capacitors and cemented carbide processing. It is an important basic material in modern communication, atomic energy, aerospace, medical and health fields.
Our tantalum products mainly include tantalum powder, tantalum wire, tantalum products (tantalum tape, crucible, etc.), tantalum target materials, etc.
Niobium is a rare metal, mainly exists in niobium iron ore and coexists with tantalum. It has good superconductivity, high melting point, corrosion resistance and wear resistance. It is widely used in iron and steel, ceramics, nuclear energy, superconductor and other fields.
Our Niobium products mainly include niobium wire, niobium strip, niobium tube, niobium powder and niobium zirconium ingot, etc.

According the Guidance and requirements,To avoid the use of conflict minerals, which directly or indirectly finance or benefit armed groups and/or involve other serious human right abuse in the high-risk and conflict-effected regions, OTIC has established its own Responsible material supply chain policy.
OTIC has very strict supply chain management system, we have established a series complete supply chain management system through taking strict measures and performing procedures to ensure ” Conflict Minerals” from conflict-affected areas would never be purchased and used, ,to prevent any conflict minerals and unknown material from entering into OTIC supply chain and to prevent the extraction and trade of minerals from becoming a source of conflict, human rights abuses, and insecurity.

The Responsible Minerals Assurance Process (formerly the Conflict Free Smelter Program (CFSP)) was established to cultivate transparent mineral supply chains and sustainable corporate engagement in the mineral sector with a view to prevent the extraction and trade of minerals from becoming a source of conflict, human rights abuses, and insecurity.
Being as a responsible company in the world, OTIC has been actively supporting and participating RMAP(Responsible Materials Assurance Process) assessment, up to the year of 2019, OTIC has already accepted RMAP assessment by an independent third party entrusted by RMI for nine years consecutively.
